We had a great stay at Mount Yard which is a perfect base for a trip to Alton Towers (15 minute drive) or to explore this beautiful region of the UK. It was spacious, clean, well equipped and had a real home from home feel. Both bedrooms were great sizes and the beds were comfortable. We were only there for one night so we did not cook but the kitchen appeared to be very well equipped. There is a Co-Op, Fish & Chip Shop and Chinese Takeaway literally a few minutes walk away. Would not hesitate to stay again if we ever come back to the area.

Every single thing! The location is magical with the alpacas, the chickens, and the peacocks wandering the grounds as we sat on the balconies and terrace, enjoying the views of Mull and the water. The room was so lovely with touches of whimsy and such a comfortable bed! We had just flown in from the States and a long sleep with an absolutely delicious breakfast the next morning prepared use for our Scotland adventure!

The cheapest ensuite room near King Cross I can find at the time I booked. Pretty close to the location given the price. Other than location, there's not much to say.

Warm water does work for the shower, (at least it worked for the sink), ended up not showering since I just stayed for one night in order to catch the train early the following morning. There is also trash that has not been collected from the room when I started my stay. The window is not soundproof and it was quite loud during the night.

This lovely hotel is well situated at the top of the town. A great one night stay with a nice breakfast and good coffee. Will definitely stay there again !

Struggled to get my heavy suitcases up and down the narrow, steep stairs to the room. Was not told which door to leave through at 3.30am so I set the alarm off. ( sorry)

The house is extremely dirty, and grubby obviously its very well used badly needs redecorated and money invested into it. The back garden has so much potential but has been neglected as the grass was long, lots of big weeds, and the garden furniture is so weathered it's about to break. The armchairs in the living room are black with dirt, the leather sofa is well used dirty and ripped. The bathroom and shower rooms have clearly never been cleaned as the tile, shower head, etc. are covered in black and pink mould! The tap in the shower room also leaks, and water pressure throughout the property is very poor. I would also say in my opinion the property is dangerous with loose sockets and light switches and at the front door they use a old cut off of carpet as a matt which constantly moves and nearly caused my husband a serious injury! Additionally, they clearly have had issues with the property and, in particular, with leaks as there are lots of water marks, blistered doors, and skirting. Also, in one of the bedrooms, it looks like an unresponsible dog owner has let their dog pee around the room as there are stains in the carpet and blistered skirting.

Too cold even with the heating on! We drove the wrong way as the signs were not very clear and was shouted at by one of the staff even despite us apologizing.
