  The place has a lovely style and it is very comfortable. The fact that we could borrow bikes to cycle around town was wonderful!

  Our sink was blocked in our bathroom. Not the end of the world but not great. The duvet was too thin we were a bit cold at night. Extra blankets should be supplied.

  Room very clean, very well eqipped. Quiet. Best shower I have ever used in a hotel. Lovely view onto golf course.

  Ground floor room, immediately adjacent to golf course and doorway but no net curtains. Felt weird even lying on the bed to watch tv with people walking past. If I drew the curtains it was very dark - inadequate lighting, especially if you are getting on a bit. For the price, I'd have hoped for some fresh milk with the teabags Clubhouse food a bit disappointing for a smart hotel. Not sure if the two are part of same operation. The staff were lovely but, for example, I missed out on quite a lot of the breakfast choices because it wasn't clear what the inclusive breakfast included!1

  The rooms were dated and need of update, we paid for and upgrade to a king room which was 2 beds joined together I wouldn’t have liked to have seen the double room. Very little air coming into rooms they were too warm. Bathroom was poor definitely not 5 star.
