The room was well designed, if a little unusual, with good use of space(with a sink adjacent to the entrance door, and separate toilet and shower and wardrobe area- but it could be separated by from the bedroom by a pull across door), clean, comfortable bed, large TV, had most things needed for a short stay. Slippers and robes. Ironing board. Safe.Had all you need.. Staff very efficient and pleasant. Nice coffee bar on ground floor. Looked after our luggage and didn t mind us waiting in foyer after checkout.

Some things in the room didn t work. Eg coffee machine, ( ill-fitting water reservoir, no instructions- by time got it in situ properly all pods used....)mirror on the desk needed a new light bulb, hand held shower leaked from joint so no flow from shower head, toilet became bit smelly after several uses, sealant around shower door needs attention- water leaks out into main room-we thought it must be room not frequently used or these things would have been fixed by now.. £385 excluding breakfast for one night- faults reported at check out but lady on desk just smiled and thanked me for feedback- but didn t make a note.....(got impression was being superficially nice but she didn t really care.) Thought was overpriced but whatever the price, facilities should work, shouldn't t they?

Everything. A genuinely friendly hotel - the location (with parking) cannot be beaten. Room clean, comfortable and well equipped. Heating controllable by the guest. Great sitting room and bar on site. Breakfast choice very comprehensive - we don't have much for breakfast but all the cooked food being produced looked great. All the staff we met including the owner were friendly, helpful and approachable.

The breakfast was most enjoyable, and the service and friendliness of the staff first class. We wouldn't hesitate staying there again.

Although we didn't require an evening meal, as we had lunch with friends elsewhere, service at the Coach & Horses ended at 8.00pm.

We had a table booked for 9 oclock for dinner but wasnt ready till half 9 which by then was too late so we did not have dinner in the end .
