The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Luxurious room, superking bed which was super comfortable. It was lovely and quiet in the room with lots of extra touches like a digital radio playing classical music when you arrive. Lovely bathroom with a full bath and bubble-bath. Room was huge.. but then it did cost £200 a night. Good TV and lots of extra facilities in room like a fan. Communal areas are lovely and the impressive looking hotel is right next to the town. Parking was also on-site and free! Excellent (and huge!) breakfast and lovely bar.

My partner and I were looking for stuff to criticise - but couldn't find anything.. and it actually got to the point where we were checking the underside of the soap tray to see if it had any rust on it haha! However.. booking.com let us down as they didn't submit our loyalty payments (we had £50 ish in our booking.com wallet and booking.com failed to honour it.. ). It meant we had to pay the full value on the room.

Lovely Victorian Hotel, right by the seaside. I stayed before visiting the Russell Coates Musuem which is connected to the hotel, so I learnt a bit about the history. It's a busy hotel, but as solo traveller I prefer that because its fully open. (The place I stayed in before the bar and restaurant were shut). Staff were very helpful and the left luggage facility was very useful. Room (small double) was warm and comfortable and the shower came out at a decent temperature. Great for a short trip

Lots of stairs - but it's an old hotel. No wifi-in the rooms. Could have used a grab rail in the bathroom. Renovations mean it's a bit dusty Needs to advertise its heritage more!

The location of this hotel was absolutely superb. Just a min walk from Liverpool one and the bus station. The staff were extremely helpful, they couldn't do enough for their guests. I booked a cosy double room which was a bit tight but we had every facility we needed in our room. We travel to Liverpool reguarly and this hotel has been a wonderful find. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Liverpool. Thank you Lock & Key.

Clean accommodation, fully furnished, near Supermarket Mark Ann Spencer and Amazon Fresh. Just cross the road and find it. I really like it.
