Location was fantastic, just a short walk to all the central attractions and services, to the central pier and beach, and most importantly to the Blackpool Wintergardens where we were attending the dance event for 5 days. The kitchen was well stocked with Ikea-purchased utensils, and the bathroom was bright. And being on the top floor, it was nice to have the skylight with natural light streaming in.

But being on the top floor meant climbing many steps of stairs with our full load of 3 weeks' luggages. Some of the stair banisters were shaky and we had to be cautious not to be over reliant for support when climbing up and down with our luggages. Most disappointing was the weak wifi on our top floor. I could get connectivity when I went down to the lower floor, but within my top floor apartment, I was oftentimes switched back to my costly 4G data-roaming. After 2 days' of dialogue with the host (who initially commented that other guests did not have my similar experience), a wifi-repeater was brought to my apartment on my 2nd last day. But the technician left without getting it to work properly.

The staff at the hotel were so caring when I was taken ill and made sure my two friends had a lovely time while I was in hospital. The trip had been a gift to one of our friends for her 70th birthday. The food was delicious and rooms lovely and clean.

The staff are brilliant, great for a chat and food is really good. Good selection and really nice. The location and views are brilliant, just off an A road but relatively quiet considering and great views. Showers were good as well

Only thing I would say is make sure you book a meal in early, they get busy (testament to the food), so we missed out on the second night.

The stairs are steep so could do with a hand rail. One of my colleagues is slightly unsteady on her feet so it was quite challenging descending the stairs safely. No window in second bedroom, and unable to open the other bedroom window so very warm at night for our stay in June. Kitchen had no chopping board or colander(unless we couldnt find them, but we did have a good look!)
