Professional but friendly positive staff. Superb views and location woth great transport links I.e. train, taxi, bus. Beautiful outdoor spot for drinks and light lunch. Breakfast was great, good selection of hot and cold foods and variety of drinks, well replenished. Bedding was super soft. Gordon in room which was well needed this weekend.

I did feel that the room could have been cleaner. There was significant amounts of dust and stains on carpet. Bathroom although main usage areas I.e. sink, bath and loo were spotless there were white splash stains up the back of the door.

The gardens are beautiful; useful to be able to park nearer the rooms; there was no heating on in the bedroom. I complained to the reception and the man I spoke to, said heating came on at 7pm. however, when we returned in the evening, the room was no warmer.

Heating in the bedroom; it is easier to turn the radiator off if too warm, but if the boiler is not on in the whole hotel it is not easy to be warm. Only two biscuits and 4 little cartons of milk, makes the facilities seem very frugal and mean.

The hotel is nice and was renovated recently. Our room was a bit small but we had everything we needed. The bathroom was really nice and felt luxurious. The bedroom was okay but we stayed for a night and it was very good.

The location was great as it was located across a park and I was lucky enough to get a room with a view facing the park.

The staff were not very accommodating. They make you feel like you are disturbing them when you approach to ask questions. The breakfast had a very limited selection of food.
