From the very start the staff were attentive, smiling and obviously a happy team. The room we had was beautiful, really comfortable beds and an absolutely superb bathroom TV over the bath, twin sinks and a wonderful large walk in shower. The breakfast was delicious, we ate in the bistro one night and my husband had the liver which he said was perfect, Im a veggi and the risotto was light and tasty. The restaurant has lovely views of the lake and the food is delicious There is a lovely walk around the grounds and the location is perfect for Bowness and Windermere

We loved it all, if I was really pushed I would say an extra choice for the Veggie on the bistro menu, but that’s only a suggestion not a complaint after all the quorn sausage and black pudding at breakfast was real treat ☺️

Recieved a very warm welcome from our host Michael. He showed us to our room, explained the breakfast routine and then offered suggestions for restaurants for dinner. Our bedroom was beautiful - clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we could possibly need. After a good night‘s sleep we enjoyed our breakfast. Again, Michael was friendly and entertaining.

We liked the size of the room and the view if the sea, also being able to walk through into the bar and restaurant. The staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble for them

The room is being sold as a deluxe double I am wondering what is deluxe about a room that has no drawers to unpack in to meaning we had to live out of suitcases as nowhere to put anything that could'nt be hung. The bathroom had a bath but no accessible soap dispenser. Reception was not manned at any time so if there is a problem you have to go through to the bar to find help. The bedroom window did not close and although staff knew about it before we arrived it had'nt been repaired when we left after five days. Until the issues have been put right I don't think this room should be sold as a deluxe double.

The lights in the landing didn’t work, so it was very dark getting back into the apartment at night. Guests should have the option to control the heating and temperature. I had to ask the host to adjust as I was cold!
