Positive section of review
The apartment was large, and well presented. Cake, chocolate and wine greeted us when we arrived and it was situated in a great spot next to the park and close to the centre. When I contacted the owner last minute to see if we could book in early, he was very helpful.

I assume it is a llisted building, and as such, there was no double glazing. This meant I was woken by pub goers at 12, 2 and 4 in the morning. Not under the control of the apartment owner, though had I realised I would have taken ear plugs with me.

The site is beautiful and I loved everything about it. We had a beautiful birthday picnic outside . We had our own privacy The place is well kept. The team helped in decorating for my birthday.

The room was pretty clean and we slept well. The breakfast, which cost an additional £12pp was very good. A selection of cereals, cooked breakfast, toast etc.

1 - Parking was limited, and when we did get a space we found there was a charge for it. Luckily we didn’t have to pay, as we had rescued the receptionist from the lift! 2 - On arrival we couldn’t find the receptionist and in the end found him stuck in the lift. We decided to take the stairs to and from our room for the duration of our stay! 3 - the shower was clean but very low pressure. Only just enough pressure to rinse off the soap. 4 - the room was very very hot and had no temperature control other than opening the windows. 5 - the windows were fitted with restrictors to prevent people climbing out the window. But these had been unfastened - presumably to reduce heat in the room (see point 4). Does this even meet building regs?? What other safety measures have been undermined? 6 - the decor in the staircase and hall ways was entirely battleship grey. Perhaps I’m being fussy now, but did they have to pick such a drab colour?!

Fantastic location, shops/restaurants etc. all within walking distance. Quaint little property, spotlessly clean, perfect for a weekend away.

Unfortunately the bathroom only has a traditional bath shower, which made it difficult to wash my hair!

Very pedantic, would have liked different mirrors in the bedrooms. Couldn’t get the main TV to work (but didn’t ask for help).
