The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

- The location is conveniently right in the centre of town, close to shops and public transport (but not convenient for arrival and departure in private vehicles). - When there was someone at reception, they were very friendly and accommodating. - The room was tidy and appeared clean, and heating worked. - The price was the best I could find for the amenities and space listed on booking.com compared with others offering the same, which was especially relevant coming from a country with a weak currency. - They were accommodating when I needed to extend my stay by another 2 weeks, which I did via booking.com.

- There was no one at reception upon my arrival or departure. In fact, there was rarely anyone at reception. - The fire alarm constantly went off, at all times of day and night. - The booking.com listing indicated that the room was equipped with a toaster and kettle, but neither were present. I had to buy my own kettle. It also indicated there was a kitchenette (there was) but no utensils with which to cook or prepare meals. - The mattress was horrendously uncomfortable. - There are laundry facilities provided for about £4, but I had to take my washing to the dryer downstairs because the one on my floor didn't work properly. The first time I used the dryer on my floor, I ended up having to hang my clothing around my room to get it to finish drying properly. - I would constantly have the smell of tobacco and weed smoke coming through the door from the adjacent common area. - If someone is dropping you off in a car (friend, family, e-hailing, etc.), there is no vehicle access to the building. You'll have to get as close as you can in town and walk the rest of the way with all your luggage. - The bathroom is the compact variety, sort of what you may find on a boat. So the shower, toilet and basin are all in the same cramped space. Forget about putting your clean, dry clothes anywhere in there because they'll get drenched.

Having stayed here several times before I knew what to expect. The Red Lion, again, met all my expectations for my overnight stay in the area. A lovely old pub with plenty of character and friendly owners and staff.

Excellent location for the O2 Academy, the building looked a bit rough but once we were in the apartment it was really nice the NCP car park was only £7.00 as well

We like to take a short walk after or evening meal but because of the location there was no where suitable. To call it an airport hotel I feel is a bit of an exaggeration.

Location of the hotel is excellent for all local amenities and bus routes.

Cleanliness in general was poor. Particularly in the bathroom where there was lots of black mould around the shower tray and shower enclosure doors. The shower tray had previously been cracked and a poor repair had been carried out. On the first morning the shower soap container was empty, I left it on the rack for the maid to see and change it, she must have entered the shower room to change the towels but did not change the soap dispenser and neither did she clean the shower room. The carpet in the room had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival and was not vacuumed during our stay. The food at breakfast was at best warm but never hot and not at all appetising. It seems that the timetable for fresh food is governed by the schedules of the coach parties that use the premises.
