The property was very clean, tidy, cosy and very well presented throughout with two lovely decorated bathrooms and adequate wardrobe space. The twin bedroom was cramped but that’s to be expected with caravans. The provisions in the caravan such as cutlery, towels, toiletries, washing up liquid were all well thought out for visitors and more than exceeded our expectations. The hosts also provided towels for dogs and a blanket and also a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely and welcome surprise. I would stay 3 nights max at a 2 bed caravan such as this one as any longer you would feel on top of each other with more than 2 people. We wanted a bigger mobile home for 3 of us but there wasn’t any available but this was beautiful nonetheless.

The Atholl is like an old friend to us. We spent our wedding night there 35 years ago and it is still our 'go to' place to stay when visiting family in Aberdeen. It is lovely to see the same staff on each visit, which I think is always the sign of good management. It is just a friendly place to stay and everyone is so helpful. The food is also great, it has a good menu choice, plus smaller portions of most dishes if you don't feel up to their usual generous plates.

Minor quibbles. Some of the bathroom fittings are now seeing signs of wear. Shower pressure is fabulous but our shower head in Room 47 was a bit loose leading to wayward spray on floor, and the bath handhold and toilet roll holder was also loose.

Location was good, only a 10 min walk to the main street and a bus stop right around the corner if needing to get anywhere else on the island. Breakfast was good.
