The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

This is a great basic hotel at the south end of Blackpool. We've had the same room twice now, and other than the light in the bathroom (which goes off a little too quickly) we have no issues at all with the room, or the hotel in general.
Positive section of review
Nicely located within walking distance of central Edinburgh (easy access to Princes Street, Central Bus Station) and 5 mins from the nearest Tram stop. The hotel also benefitted from very friendly staff.

Based on the price paid, the room comforts were missing. I would have expected a bit more on a welcome tray to give the sense of 'deluxe' that was being paid for. It was also unfortunate that the hotel was in the last stages of building work/renovations when I visited as that prevented it being shown in all its glory.

We aked for a sea view room and we were given one. The view was amazing especially when the dolphins arrived, and many thanks for the binoculars,a nice touch.Breakfast was very good.

All good

The food was very good, especially the breakfast, served in the beautiful bar and restaurant. The location was very convenient for our travels. The staff were very helpful.

A high sided bath made for a bit of a struggle to have a shower, especially when suffering from arthritis. Would much prefer a walk in shower. Toilet close to the wall and door.

By far the best thing is the breakfast. Ranjan runs the service like clockwork and everyone gets his personal attention.

The evening menu was very limited which was a shame for a hotel at this level.

Fab location for the Quayside and lovely staff who were super friendly and helpful.

Whole hotel however is a bit dated. I stayed there 20 odd years ago and it was spot on. It's a shame, it's like they haven't really done much to it since then. Rather wished we had paid an extra £30 extra and gone to the Crowne Plaza nearby, as that is much more modern.

The location was perfect as easy to get back from the wedding we was attending.
Negative section of review
The room was filthy. Old food on the floor and side of the bed, dirty sheets. We could not shower as there was no water pressure so it was a drizzle. The bath was only cold water tap, again no pressure for the hot water so drizzle. The staff told us on arrival that they had cancelled our booking that day as there was a food market that weekend so they required our room. We were told we could use the disabled toilet to get ready for the wedding we were attending. We obviously did not accept this and showed our booking had been arranged last year. I was a bridesmaid and my partner an usher so we required a room to stay in as well as get ready. Eventually they found us a room.
