The place was delightful and really comfortable for a couple of nights away from home. Check in was easy and upon arrival there was tea, coffee, milk and shampoo to help you relax when you get there. Parking was available outside for one car which made it easy to unpack and repack. One thing I particularly liked is that as well as having a lounge and dining space, there was also a study nook with an ethernet connection if needed for a laptop. Everything was accounted for and ready to go. Great experience. The location was also extremely close to the city centre making it ideal for leisure or business trips.

There are only two things which I would point out here. Neither are reasons not to stay at the property but are things to be aware of. The first is that due to fire regulations there is not a hob in the property. Instead there is a tabletop free standing cooker and a microwave. These are perfectly usable and we managed to cook breakfast and dinner on them for the duration of our stay but it is something to be aware of and prepare for if planning to eat in. The other is that being a garage conversion and close to a main road there were a couple of times when we could hear traffic going by, however, this was rare and just something to be aware of.

Great location and great value for money. The room was very clean and everything you need for a short trip was available in the room including bottle of water, coffee, tea and cookies. The bed was very comfortable and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend it to everyone!

Rooms were spacious and bright. Loved that it was a wooden floor and not carpets in the bedrooms as it felt much cleaner than other places I have stayed. The complementary sweets, fruit and various water types in reception was a nice touch. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

The door handle was broken from the inside of the room. Chris said he would sort it straight away. I texted Chris at 10pm to ask if he has fixed it due to fire safety regulations, and he said no,but gained consent to fix it whilst we weren't there. If I hadn't texted Chris, it wouldn't have been done! On returning to the B&B, my husband and I were greeted by a gent, I said how unhappy I was about the door handle and the fire risks , and he asked if it was broken or not fixed? I said, "What's the difference if it's not secure and comes off in your hand on trying to exit the room?" He then mumbled in his language as we all walked away. Notice at the front door to remove your shoes if it's wet or muddy outside - again, health and safety ( people may have a poor immune system and get infected easily if shoes were taken off. Notice in the bathroom to sit to use the toilet at all times - even for men. Notice in the bedroom not to eat on the bed or a fine of £150 will be made payable. A non-smoking fine for £150 if caught - I understand this is standard. As a whole, my husband and I did not feel comfortable, I felt I was being watched to the point I looked for hidden cameras. The bed was too low and uncomfortable. May as well as I slept on the floor. The light shone through and around the blinds - no black ' out curtains. (Photo attached. The handle came clean out the mechanism.).
