It was a delight to stay at The Angel! From the moment we arrived we were looked after so well by all the fabulous staff at all times of day and night. I can’t thank the kind man who helped us out in the courtyard at three o’clock in the morning and brought delicious tea and a cappuccino covered in salted caramel chocolate! Every part of the hotel is a magical blend of glorious architecture that has been there for hundreds of years and modern luxury. My room was the best! I wish I could have brought it home. With the exceptional en-suite. My bed was so comfortable and the bed linen was perfect! Every need was catered for to ensure the most delightful stay. The Angel Hotel is in the heart of Abergavenny, allowing such easy access to anywhere in the town. It was the best holiday in a place that I love. Staying in the Hotel made absolutely perfect.

It was very convenient to walk in straight from Terminal 4. Well signposted. Rooms are a bit small but well fitted with amenities. Good shower.

Room was dark, unclean small and for £309 a night a total waste of money. No real customer service and the hotel is old and in need of severe renovations - overpriced understaffed nothing redeemable at all

Probably not their problem but the overflowing bins in the car park stank Parked car near them got out of car and the smell was horrendous.

Pillows we're really uncomfortable and I found it hard to sleep because of them. Cups were dirty at breakfast, I managed to find 1 that was ok. Breakfast wasn't the best, I just found the whole dining room a bit grubby. But I suppose you get what you pay for.

Clean and comfortable

Slightly odd hotel set up - beautiful decor but it isn’t really a hotel as not attached to a reception or anything and there is a cafe next door which serves as the restaurant .
