Location was strange but for travelling into the city it was really easy to jump on the train, station next door. And with triple glazing no noise! We received a very Luke warm welcome, no welcome amenities (a big thing with Gold Accor card holders!). The jacuzzi wasn’t working while we were there but everything else was good. Breakfast was as good as any buffet type breakfast, don’t be afraid to ask for items, the breakfast staff were on the whole aloof, concentrating on clearing tables etc so you have to want to ask for veggie sausages or poached eggs etc but once you ask once, they usually remember and ask if you want them the next day.

On arrival I asked if we had the best room? I always do, I am a Accor Gold Card holder and I have found in the past, this sometimes gets a room change or an additional upgrade, much to my wife’s utter amusement, I was snorted at… so much for Gold Cards she muttered as we left reception desk…..So what I didn’t like my wife enjoyed immensely. I think the term ‘paid parking’ should be included in the description, I thought being on the outskirts of a city it would have been free, if you imagine a hotel in aa ‘park and ride’ car park…. The journey to the swimming pool area…. And it was a journey, especially as there is a door straight through reception? I’m not sure why we couldn’t use this door?

The rooms we booked were modern and fully provisioned with all that we expected and were clean and tidy. The location was less than 10 minutes walk to the nearest 2 tube stations and very close to bus stops. The buffet style Continental and English Cooked breakfast had a good selection and was plentiful. It was included in the listed room price.

Nothing really , though no honey in selection of breakfast jams( v mundane brought my own for honey , lemon and hot water mix( healthy!!). No safe in room , ok for us but perhaps could be an issue?? NB . All comments meant to be helpful not critical or confrontational

the staff where absolutely terrible, asked for late checkout and they entered my room without knocking at 11am before the late checkout time & i was half dressed and then they was rude about the whole thing i am absolutely appalled
