River View is a superb house. It has historical significance as the former home of the artist Thomas Sword Good and is in a wonderful position on the Quay Walls with stunning views over the River Tweed and its famous bridges. It is full of character and style, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The views from every uniquely and beautifully decorated room are wonderful and there is direct access to the lovely Walls footpath which goes right by the front door. The shops, bars and restaurants are only minutes away, car parking is easy and convenient and the hosts were very helpful and easy to contact.

I booked a last-minute stay, found free parking easily on the road & Michelle was welcoming. She gave me tips for what to see/where to eat in the area & we had a really good chat about our hosting experiences. Good value for money & breakfast included, which was a plus. I would stay again.

The garden could do with a little TLC :) The room's window faces a railway line, so be prepared for the noise of passing trains. There's also a boiler in the room, which you will hear turn on & off during the night. None of these things were deal breakers, just things to note.

Fabulous welcome, delicious homemade scones, jam and clotted cream. Airstream was beautiful with everything we needed. The dogs were lovely and welcoming without being clingy, my daughter would have brought them home if she could. Totally relaxing even with the changeable weather. So peaceful.

Very comfortable and spacious room. Superb shower! Restaurant and bar downstairs was convenient. Rooms well located for privacy and quiet from bar.

Parking was challenging due to roadworks. No on-site parking means one is directed to Sainsbury's car park which is a short walk away.

Friendly staff, eager and very attentive. If a problem is presented they will do their absolute best to find a solution.

First night, the room was noisy. They changed it to a perfect room from the 2nd night onward.

Nice big clean room and bathroom.

Maybe my own fault but I hadn't picked up either that there would be nobody there to meet us or that there would be no breakfast. So it felt very impersonal. We did briefly, though, meet a cleaner and she was fine.

All good!
