Breakfast selection was good although didn't try the evening meals as there are loads of restaurants within a five minute walk. Room was a good size and clean. TV had all the free view channels. Lift to all floors although small capacity (6). Great location to train station and ferry.

Room was too hot and the cleaner servicing the room kept closing our windows. Lift doors had splash marks all over them and needed cleaned. Shaver mirror needed maintenance which I reported. Staff were efficient but didn't engage in any conversation.

Firstly, there wasn’t any windows in the room, which was really disappointing. I felt like I was in a box to be honest… Secondly, we went down to reception and asked about the spa. They then replied to me in a very casually tone “oh, it’s being refurbished” At that point if felt like a hit in the face, as I spent £300 on a stay of one night…. I did make sure to also look at my emails to see if I’ve been notified about this refurbishment and to my surprise I didn’t receive any warning or disclosure about the spa being refurbished. I really wanted to use the spa with my partner as the only reason I booked this place was because this staycation was for my partners birthday… Lastly, we decide to go for a drink on the roof terrace, the bartender charged us £70 for two drinks and two shots. I feel like I’ve totally been mugged, this wasn’t value for money at all, I feel like I paid that much to just sit in a box, because pretty much all facilities were a joke. Ones not working and ones robbery. I’d very much appreciate a refund, or some sort of compensation.

We were not treated well. We found blood on the sheets so we stripped the bed expecting the room to be cleaned and the bed re-made but nothing was done. When I complained to reception there was no real apology.
