We loved the hotel, our rooms were great, the service and the staff were exceptional and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They ordered our taxi's for the morning to take us to the Races and the kitchen was closed later that evening but they arranged for us to have a curry delivered to the hotel and when they forgot to deliver the rice, James the owner went out and collected them himself! James was a fantastic host and his staff (especially the barman) couldn't do enough for us to ensure we had a wonderful time, thank you to you all!

The shower, we had no hot water and the pressure of the water was very low but I would still stay here again!

The location was perfect for us some of our family live close by. It was a very quiet neighborhood and close to the park. communication from the owner was excellent. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival with all necessary amenities for our stay. The bed is very comfortable but a little small for two adults.

The place could do with a lick of paint and a bigger bed.

The honesty bar was a welcome addition. When our tea bags & milk were not replaced on day#2, the staff were happy & quick to provide this for us. Lovely decor & spotlessly clean.

At check in I was told I had to pay £10 per night for the car park (it's in the small print so I accept this is my fault) and also that because I hadn't booked direct with the hotel, I wasn't entitled to a free breakfast. I was asked if I still wanted one but being told you've missed out on a freebie isn't much enticement to be honest. It's not often I am disappointed before even entering my room. This is the first time I have found booking via Genius Booking to not be an attractive option; something I will need to be mindful of in future. Be nice if the bottled water was replenished if staying more than 1 night as you pay the same for each night. It would also be good to have soap for the handbasin and not have to use up your miniature bottle of shower gel to wash your hands. Pillows were limp and not very comfortable. Noisy plumbing.

Location very good opposite Park and Ride. Breakfast OK, but coffee machine problems meant coffee was not very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Room and breakfast were excellent - good to see finally fully transitioned to a Mercure Hotel and noticed the upgraded rooms and common areas.

Rooms a little tired, not that much to do nearby (other than curry mile)

Very well decorated hotel. Staff were amazing throughout.

Location was good. Staff were pleasant.

Though the room was far better than those we had stayed at the week prior to our present stay, it is clear that only upgraded superior rooms are the only ones worth anything at this hotel. The hotel had a hard time providing anything that did not appear on the morning buffet. I asked for soft boiled eggs and they said the kitchen didn’t have enough eggs.
