destination reviews from real travellers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The courtyard setting is so beautiful it is a dream to live in.. with colourful planting, old stonework and quirky things. Perfect location near the tube, between Heathrow and central London . We stayed in a family room at the ground floor (204): very cosy, very spacious and clean. Infortunately breakfast is not available at the moment, but there are a lot of bakery and coffee bar at 1 minute walk. It's a family run Hotel. George and his daughter, Ana, are very helpful with a lot of information. Close to the Hotel there is a Santander bike rental very useful to explore Hammersmith. We can't wait to come back! Thanks.

The location is perfect for arriving by train and the town centre. The building is majestic in all its beautiful architecture and history. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. But it was the lady on reception who welcomed us when we arrived that made us feel like we were in a home from home and gave us our first taste of how lovely York is. This hotel provides a mixture of elegance and down to earth and we loved it.

Comfiest hotel bed ever slept in and we travel a lot for rugby matches. Window opened properly. Fridge in room was a bonus. Gull tapping on window and looking in was hilarious. Easy access to get key. Very close to beaches, town centre and train station. All in all, very good. We had the basic room for a 3 night stay. Definitely stay there again

Wifi password should be in the rooms, we had to go looking for it. Would stay in the suite with the mini kitchen if staying longer

The room was very clean and warm, although perhaps smaller than we would have liked . The double bed was comfortable. The ensuite was very clean. Very good for a short stay and will definitely be back.

Breakfast was not included. We cannot enthuse about the room but the bed was comfortable. The staff were very helpful and pleasant

    • Negative section of review

The room was on the small side. The signage was poor and we struggled to locate our room. The plug in the wash hand basin didn't retain the water in the basin

To charge £20 per pet is a joke. Stayed last year and only had to pay the one charge even though we had 2 dogs then aswell. Also we stayed in a Holiday Inn In Cambridge last summer and the receptionist tried to charge us £20 per pet but the area manager was behind him and said the charge shouldn’t be implemented per dog and should just be £20 per room! Im assuming you hover and change the bed sheets in all rooms… so I don't get how you can justify charging £40 extra to clean a room just because a dogs slept in it?!
