It was as advertised. I stayed with my husband and a 5-month old baby. We booked the family room with en-suite bathroom. It was worth the money spent. My hubby particularly loved the lighting at the mirror in the dressing area leading to the bathroom. It created extra space to move around the room. It felt homey. The kitchen was accessible with a fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine (which could only be used from 3pm-10pm daily and with your detergent), electric kettle (came in handy for heating up my baby’s food) and you could cook on the hob if you wanted. There was info about taxis to call too. The location is close to the city centre too with easy access to the bus 2 (which has different alphabets and different stops) convenience stores and supermarkets like ASDA/Lidl.

The walk-in shower in the family room is a tad small. I’m of a slim build so I had no issues with it but someone a bit on the big side might find it too confined. The owners are not the best at responding to messages. Communication can feel kinda one-sided when you attempt to ask questions before arrival, with them just sending generic messages about gaining access to the property but not replying to questions asked. For instance, we asked if they had an electric iron prior to arrival but got no response. We also had another question about early check-in but they did not respond either. It was much later I saw that they did not permit that in the generic email sent when the booking was confirmed. In person, however, the lady we met seemed nice and asked if we needed anything else on arrival but we had already purchased a travel iron just before arriving. We had nothing else they could do for us.

Very easy to get to from the bus station. directions were clear about key pickup and Nicole was there to greet me. A very roomy downstairs with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, protected outdoor area. hosts flexible about extending one day. soap, shampoo, body wash provided. Also a facecloth which was a luxury! The manager/greeter Nicole was very helpful and personable.

A comfortable stay but my room was not what I call luxury. No stand for suitcase and only chair too narrow to hold it meant it was on the floor. Bathroom tiny. Inadequate room for toiletries or medications- a shelf above toilet would help.. The bathroom door just cleared the end of the bed so I could perch pouches on the bed but it meant that I couldn't unpack them. Towel ring for hand towel but towel racks or door hooks needed for drying larger towels. The bathroom door needed to be closed to move around the room which meant towels hung over shower stall couldn't dry or room got musty if door left open. There is a large bathroom all guests can use for a tub but I didn't realize this until I asked.Two foam pillows both quite hard for my neck.Most rooms I visited had four with two softer to accommodate different necks. Very busy location traffic wise so street noise an issue if window open even in my back facing room.

Beautiful view, high quality bed, so so sooooo comfortable. Our room was extremely clean with everything one needs. Plus the teabags make a great cup!.

The bathroom in our original room was unacceptable. Tile grouting and sealant around the bath were showing serious black mould. We requested a transfer of room which was granted. We also felt that the housekeeping was inefficient, non existent on first day. 2nd day, beds not made and drinks not replenished.

Breakfast was way over priced. Tasted OK but very expensive. Too expensive. It would probably stop me booking again as poor value.
