The Staff are around -the clock problems solvers. In my case even before I set a foot in the hostel. In earlier stays it was Victoria that was constantly being helpful. This stay it was the turn of gentle giant Jan that was a man in a mission and proactively would not stop until satisfied any matter arising was dealt with diligently. One of the many issues he took upon his stride was to find me best room given my mobility issues. So, ground floor next to the coffee shop to prevent struggling with luggage and a bottom bunk bed to that.

As always, two issues with kitchen and coffee shop: Firstly , opening hours. I feel having them padlocked until 8AM is really a policy that could change and 7 AM would be ideal for those of us that have morning commitments outside the hostel. This change would not demand more staff or cost a penny to implement but it would have a positive impact on how guests can start their day ahead. Secondly, utensils not available at all. Not just basic cutlery and crockery as in any other hostel in London, but for the love of God, we are in England, working kettles to have a cup of tea/coffee would not go amiss.

buffet cooked breakfast not as hot as would have liked also scrambled eggs would have been my preference is there a lift for those of us slightly more antiquated??

The hotel was clean and modern. We got upgraded as it was our first time staying. There is a lovely bar and pizza place. Very nice

The breakfast and evening meal was very good and the location was excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable.

Unfortunately the service during the evening was poor, possibly because they were short staffed. We waited a long time to order our drinks and food and when we went to the bar we were told it was table service only. In the afternoon the staff couldn’t do enough for us.

The bathroom the room the non existantant kitchen the boiler in the room for the whole house it was like being in a hostel and people coming in n out slamming doors till 3am we got locked in the bedroom to start with as the lock is the wrong way and then we got locked in the whole flat as the lock wouldn't unlock and when I messaged I got a reply 3 hours later asking did I manage to get out
