Great location, superb facilities and friendly hosts. The perfect touches, fresh bread, eggs, muffins, milk. Hot tub heated for arrival, friendly staff in village pub and great food. Thoughtful touches with decor, very comfortable bed and stunningly decorated

The location and the bedrooms, the outside seating and garden and the kitchen was well equipped for a party of 8 and entertaining.

The table in the kitchen didn't seat all 8 of us, which was disappointing. It was a get together for friends and children and we liked and chose the cottage because all 8 of us were catered for sleeping. A few of us had our cars scratched underneath coming out of the drive. Advice for future users, use the left hand side of the drive as you arrive and leave.

The central location of the hotel was very convenient and it is an impressive historic building. On site car parking was useful.

The common areas are fine, but some specific parts of the hotel as visible from the bedroom window were in need of repair and redecoration chiefly the central area.

Reception staff very helpful. Night staff made sure we got extra duvet and room heater on a very cold day.

It was in a good area, very close to city centre. The host was very communicative.

The property had a door that was connected to outside Main Street. We had a few incidents where people was banging on the door. It was locked but it let a draft through which made the whole air n b cold. The inside had pretty standard cleaning (most frequently touched points) however on top of cupboards there were brick dust, dust and dirt built up. All main walls are brick, no plaster which meant it was affecting peoples throats, and eyes due to the dust. It’s also VERY loud as it’s on a main road and there isn’t any insulation or proper windows. The heating kept playing up with the shower which meant the water kept going cold.

Another customer entered my room in the evening having been given the wrong room number. I couldn't get a WIFI signal in my room and didn't get exactly what I ordered at breakfast despite writing it down the night before.

The bed was comfy.

The room was too shallow. My partner was unable to shower. The water took a long time to go hot and even when it wasn’t hot. There was hair on the pillows. Dirty skirting boards. Dirty duvet cover.
