The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the lady on reception! The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. It had an iron and board, hairdryer, TV, tea and coffee facilities! The food in the restaurant in the evening was well presented and delicious with enough to choose from, my partner has dietary issues which can be difficult at times but we found something suitable! The waitress did ask too, we both had a lovely meal. Breakfast full English please really tasty didn't disappoint, also the continental spread was amazing so much to choose from. All in all really enjoyed The Wood Norton and will be staying again 😄

wasn’t warned before hand by the host that the bottom floor flat was still being renovated which was quite confusing when we turned up. The work also continued throughout the weekend which wasn’t ideal and the paint fumes made it quite hard to stay in the property during the day. The bathroom door in the apartment was also quite dodgy and would pop open despite being locked. The rooms also became quite hot and stuffy but due to the work going on (music playing and paint fumes) it was difficult to keep the windows open to cool down.

Closeness to Gatwick after a late arrival by plane. Staff were very friendly, very kind.

This hotel is billed as a four star hotel, it's not. The room was very dark and dated. The wallpaper was peeling with black mould in one section of the room. Whilst the room was clean it was badly in need of redecorating with most surfaces chipped or scraped. Flat screen TV had to be turned on off by switching at the socket and all cables from back were hanging down and very unsightly. Hair dryer in room didn't work...housekeeping sorted out immediately...Head of House Keeping was lovely and very obliging. Overall, it was very disappointing stay.
