The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Excellent location great costal walks, able to walk through Sewerby Hall grounds, pubs close by. The lodge was clean and spacious, well equipped kitchen and decked area which was enclosed to enable our dogs to run freely. The beds are comfortable with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Will certainly be booking again next year without a doubt.

The landlord was very welcoming and took time to make us feel at home. Filled us in on the local history and suggested places to visit. The village and surrounding areas were beautiful. Room and bathroom were very good. Evening meals were delicious.

Breakfast was good but an option rather than full English would have been nice. Toast and coffee were not hot. Not a big problem but.. entrance to the premises via the carpark takes you past the bins, which is not lovely. Entrance to the rooms (foot of the stairs) has some rubbish including a full ashtray.

The staff at Hylands are all very helpful. They do a nice cooked breakfast and the rooms are all very nice and comfy. The room was quiet as I asked for and the bed comfy. The en-suite had a bath and a shower, with fresh towels provided.

The cottage is centrally located in the lovely town of Winchcombe from where you can walk all around town. The hosts are great and provided all the necessary information in advance to make our stay as comfortable as it could be.

Supposed to be 24h reception when checking out there was a phone number to ring as door was locked, no instructions on how to get out, rang the phone number 8 times to be told by someone asleep that she doesn’t work there, we ended up finding our way to a fire door and left that way, no alarms went off when opening the fire door. We couldn’t use Apple Pay to pay for parking or anything.

The only thing for me was the position as I have a sore knee at the moment and the walk back from Bath town center was up a steep hill so we got an Uber back
