- “The modern retro look in room and the amazingly decorated corridors made this place my favorite hotel. I had the luck of getting an airside room and could see nighttime operations on the runways. Certainly a place an AVgeek would love. The small touches like postcards in room and great amenities like shaving razor and cream were much appreciated. The "secret" rooftop terrace where you could sit and watch operations at the airport 24/7 was wonderful. Staff were all lovely - one manager was even greeting people outside and leading them in to the lobby.”

Stefan can give you for very cheap price. The old town, the Big Buddha and many beaches you can ride in 20 minutes. I will go back to Stefan for sure. The best is you can see the sea from your bed. The morning is beautiful. The best place for breakfast is only 50 meters from the house. Many good restaurants are 5 minutes by walk.”

  The location is superb and very quiet. Very close to sandy bay and small beach cafe with village a short but uphill walk away. The village had a Spar, pub, butcher and some other shops. Eyemouth, with more facilities, was only a short drive away. The Ship Inn did great food. St Abbs is beautiful. The front of the apartment gets the sun all day. Comfy outside lounger chairs and big picnic bench when the weather is good. The apartment is also suitable for people who are disabled or have walking difficulties. My friend who accompanied me has Parkinson’s and coped really well. We did have a small problem and had to contact the owner who dealt with it efficiently and effectively and communication was excellent.

  The location is one of the best in Edinburgh (if you prefer to be close to the New Town) The staff was attentive and kind. Breakfast was okay, there were enough hot breakfast options and continental style. Bathroom was big, with overhead shower and enough towels. And the towel heater did a great job. The bed was the perfect size with lots of pillows and a good mattress!!

  Well, the room was dark. Even the window curtain was some sort of grey-ish and the view light bulbs hadn't enough power to iluminate the room. There was one little ceiling light (I guess it was a halogen lamp) but it did not the trick. The little lamps on the headboard of the bed were impractical. I understand that's the concept of the whole hotel, but a few lighter colors on the walls or the wardrobe wouldn't hurt. The bathroom lightning was also not that perfect - especially when you try to apply some makeup. The window could not be opened, not even a little bit for fresh air in the morning. They explain it with safety reasons...But there are windows that you can open slightly without immediately falling out... ;) And my personal highlight: the lift was not working for 2 days in a row...

  The host went above and beyond for our stay. It was my partner's birthday on this trip and after just a few text messages, the host had organised balloon decoration, a bottle of fizz and birthday card on arrival. We also enquired about a BBQ during the stay and this was sorted in under 5 minutes. Really attentive host, stunning place, gorgeous location.

  Everything!! Location was perfect for a stroll to the water or to the pubs. Very clean and the beds were so comfy. There was 7 adults in our group and it suited us perfectly. This is the second time we have stayed and I am sure that we will be back again!
