King room upgrade was excellent in both bed and bathroom were excellent life-savers after appalling train experiences journey with SWR-------only wish we'd had more time to enjoy them after our wonderful white-linen Mulberry restaurant dinner looking out at serene private lawns and trees! --------- but we'll be back again to rectify that ------ just NOT on an SWR train, 5 platform changes; and NOT taking advice to get off at one stop early rather than Gatwick as 'better' for taxis to hotels!!-----HUH!!!

Smallish room but super clean. The bathroom was spotless with toiletries and clean towels. The management were extremely friendly and nothing was too much effort for them. The breakfast room was very busy and had a great friendly vibe, we were served exactly what was requested, tasty and well presented.

After a delayed 17 hour journey from Antwerp (arriving at 3am) we had to carry our cases up too many stairs to the top floor, this was expected as it was a very late booking. The room lacked fresh air but did have an overhead fan.

Breakfast included in room rate and they were great. Fully equipped kitchen (plus tea, coffee , sugar, toast, butter, jam) you can use anytime during your stay. Quite and safe place outdoors. Room and bathroom were spotless clean. Good wifi. Enjoyed the stay.

Excellent host, very friendly, took time to talk with all the guests. Room was very well appointed, breakfast was great (we are quite fussy and Darren sorted out just what we wanted). Would definitely recommend

It appeared as if the rooms were all different. So one room may have suited perfectly and another perhaps less so. My room was fine.

They ran out of hot water for 2 days in a row, the bathrooms are old, small and dirty. The beds are too many for a small room, the reception and service are horrible, the breakfast is rubbish, breakfast items are dirty.

Fire alarm went off at midnight and woke us up, we had to get out of bed and gather our stuff then it stopped. Got back into bed and went back the sleep and it went off again for another minute. No explanation or apologies, we needed a good nights sleep which was ruined. My corridor also smelt of weed which was very unpleasant
