Situated in a lovely quiet village with easy access to both the A1 and the Coast, ideal for using as a base to explore Northumberland. The Shepherds hut was clean, cosy and right next to the stream with a secure enclosed garden area with seating (ideal if you have your dog). The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. The staff at Apple Inn were welcoming, friendly and very accomodating.Nice breakfast choice - cooked breakfasts were very tasty and served hot. We didn't get chance to eat there in the evening but the menu looked very inviting. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to couples with or without dogs, although if to have a large breed you may find it a little cramped.

It’s a lovely little mews flat. It’s down some steps (quite a few actually) to the banks of the wye. Dawn chorus in the morning. Parking is easy right by flat. Kitchen and shower room are really good, and the range of restaurants and pubs is wondrous. 2 minutes from the friendliest bookshop so ❤️

Room was comfortable and a good place to crash for the night. Hotel is in a good location (if you're travelling by bus or car) and the price was comparable (slightly more) with the travellodge down the road.

Room was very nice, although not as advertised on the site at time of booking (booking said it included a sofa bed). As it was "the last room" and we didn't need the sofa bed it didn't matter. Reception wasn't well organised and the public areas(reception, bar, corridors) were OK, but a little grubby

The property is absolutely charming. Very private and quiet. The facilities are great and the cottage was spotless. The fridge was full of food and beverages. I couldn’t fault anything.

I liked everything about the cottage and the hosts were welcoming and very helpful.

This pub hotel has plenty of character , comfort with very welcoming and helpful team. Food - and Joules beer - was excellent, and breakfast was top notch. Great value as well.

Nothing really- The Swan is on a main road but it was perfectly quiet in the evening and did not disturb sleep at all.

The food was poor, the steak slimy and fatty. Very disappointed for a restaurant which implies the steak should be delicious. The pre arranged early morning call did not happen. Reception advised we were leaving to early for hopper bus and needed a taxi. The hopper bus arrived at the same time of taxi so we were misinformed
