Wendy and Steve were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were clean, comfortable, good shower with everything needed for a good stay. Food excellent, Steve catered for every request including those that were not on the menu!!! Plenty of easy access parking. The bus stop in to Lyme Regis is right outside the pub. When a customer arrived with a very noisy dog (yapping and barking loudly) Wendy dealt with the situation quickly and professionally, simply asking the customer if the dog carried on she would have to ask him to leave for the comfort and enjoyment of the other numerous customers in the pub. We were very impressed with her actions which enabled us to enjoy our evening peacefully. Unfortunately the weather was not kind during our two night stay so we could not take advantage of the very pretty garden but we are hoping for sunshine on our next visit in a few weeks time. The footpath to Lyme is from the car park. 9

Assuming that you are arriving or departing through Gatwick Airport, please remember the following: Board bus number 20 from the South Terminal and pay GBP2.00 with a contactless credit card to be dropped at the MASSETS ROAD stop right outside the hotel about 5 minutes later. Bus number 20 runs all night. From the North Terminal board bus number 100 to arrive at Massets road in about 8-9 minutes, GBP2.00 To return to the airport use the bus stop across the road from the hotel to take a No.20 bus to o South Terminal or No.100 bus to the North Terminal. Tip: Photograph the bus times the evening before you leave and be aware of the different schedules on Saturdays and Sundays. NB Send an email to the hotel the evening before you leave to receive an email copy of your bill.

Spotless, looked brand new. Beautiful location. So peaceful and quiet but also near to southwell town centre for pub/ lunch/ shop the Minster & also the National Trust Workhouse is in the field next door: you can walk to it. Wonderful staff to welcome you & explain all the details. Also great communication with messages from the moment we booked. Well thought out details. Lovely hot tub.

We honestly could not find many issues at all,but it pains me to say as we loved it & would definitely stay again: The bed was just so incredibly hard and uncomfortable . Maybe we have a softer mattress at home & its personal preference. But it is literally the only thing that could be improved. We would 100% stay here again.

Jane and Keith were exceptionally friendly. Breakfasts were quite superb - Jane is clearly a great cook and made cakes for afternoon tea. A lovely location, right on the (now diverted) coast path. Beautiful gardens, full of birdlife and other wildlife.

Overall the accommodation was excellent with everything you need provided to a high standard inside the lodge. My wife and I would not hesitate to recommend the lodge and would be more than happy to stay again in the future.

we arrived early 12pm we knew we wouldn't be able to access the room so dropped of our bags and went out, the receptionist promised to ring when the room was ready.2.30 pm no call so ew made our way back ,different receptionist said if we sat in the foyer she would tell us when the room was ready 3.20pm we went up to the desk another receptionist told us our room was ready but we hadn't been told we could have been sitting there all afternoon!!
