Room was large and spacious, i had requested a view of the river, which i did get and although there wasnt much to look at, it's better than nothing! The hotel is very accessible from the city centre and was only a short walk from the train station

The receptionist, who was full of charm, wit, and enthusiasm and in fact, all the staff including the breakfast "in charge" who was very professional. The location and the reasonably appointed rooms plus there is plenty of parking space.

Found manger a bit abrupt in resturant bar area often saw her speaking down to staff and customers. Although wasnt directly rude to me. Bathroom had dirty grout too was very noticable. Food in resturant was a let down for price, but was much better second night although service was a bit slow and caotic on both nights, first night had to ask for a knife and fork as wasnt given one. Second night was put at a table service section as pub quiz was on and took me to look for a staff member before we could start ordering i had waited 10 mins before doing this as was told table service only.

Room requested was far too hot due to a faulty radiator that they couldn’t turn off. So wa. Given a smaller room. The 2 beds only had a deviding wall between them. The Tv was above a round table and chairs so had to look up sharply to watch it. Toaster blew a fuse and tripped the electrics. Quickly replaced though. Then next day they checked out the electrics. Curtain rail was off the wall on one end but mended it quickly whilst we were out. Kitchen utensils inadequate, no washing up bowl and plug didn’t keep the water in the sink.
