Positive section of review
Hotel is in a great location, easy walking to city centre, park, river, castle, easy to get to, no need to drive in through the city. Plenty in onsite parking, nice social outdoor space. Staff were really friendly and approachable.. food isnt alacarte but fills a space very nicely with a good selection, comfy, cosy and weloming social spaces, could quute easily sit at a window seat with a beer waching the world go by.

£185 for a twin room, no breakfast.I was expecting something a little classy but room was more of a hostel feel. Room comprised of a double bed which could do with getting a new mattress, and a sofa bed which was broken and dropped down and squeaked and groaned at every move. Also room was very cramped, a big coffee table took up what floor space there was, may have been fine with sofa bed raised but not whith it down. Bathroom was fine, over bath shower, downside was bath panel was hanging off. Room spoiled what would have been an excelent review

Location was very central, had to ask but once entrance was found it was easy. First night was much quieter, small but useful kitchen.

Second night was full, someone opened the window and the street was very noisy til early hours when all the Etape competitors got up, allowing doors to bang. Top bunk was awkward at my age and staff were very apologetic but couldn't change it. Had to ask for things but staff were quick to respond

Very nice decorated apartment, all you would need for your stay, really comfy bed, and nice wee garden also.

Only complaint was the smear marks all over the shower glass, and tiny kitchen but still manageable.

I was greeted by a very friendly chap on the desk when I arrived in the evening. Rooms were comfortable.

The shower went from freezing to boiling on a loop so I couldn’t wash my hair and had to jump in and out to avoid freezing/burning. The noise from the corridor doors/other guests was intolerable when staying there for early nights/early starts. The girl on the desk at check out was dismissive.

Beds are comfortable. Flat is warm if you remember to turn on the heaters. Near the subway station.

It wasn't very clean. The walls had humid spots with some mold. The floor was really noisy and so were the doors (the doors also dont stay open). The curtains only block half of the light which makes it really uncomfortable during the day if you dont want the neighbours watching everything you do. The bath keeps flooding because the draining is really bad so it was uncomfortable to shower after other people. The faucets are difficult to close and you have to be careful because it keeps leaking.

Bed not properly made - management need to make sure staff can move the bed away from the wall easily to fit the bottom sheet. Restaurant noisy when busy in the evening.
