The room was clean and comfortable and had beautiful features from the castle. The view was incredible and the garden and restaurant were also comfortable and beautiful. The food was superb and the staff were very polite and friendly.

Our only slight complaint is that the shower pressure was extremely weak and unpleasant to shower in. This let down the bathroom which looked great. The parking was very awkward, there are 2 car parks, one was clearly filled up by staff cars which meant there were no spaces available when we arrived and we had to park along the road, and move the car later. I think it would be better to have the cooked breakfast included in the room rate with every stay as the continual bits and bobs in the room didn't really work. The croissants were not fresh by the morning and fridge in the room was very noisy, so we eventually had to turn it off for the night.

I booked a top floor, small double room. They changed it to what they call a standard double on my arrival, which I thought was nice of them. Unfortunately, it was directly underneath the main entrance, and the flooring was creaking a lot when someone was walking. It woke me up many times. It felt like the floor was going to fall on me. The toilet seat was wobbly, which made me jump every time I sat on it
