The location was wonderful. Right in the centre of Truro next to the Cathedral and river with excellent restaurants and shops nearby. Despite being above a pub, the room was generally quiet. It was well-furnished, with a brilliant shower and fantastic huge bath towel.

The internet was poor, completely dropping out regularly and making it difficult to work. There were biscuit wrappers behind the desk and my double bed was two singles pushed together. I kept waking in the crack between.

Two large bedrooms, both with en suite bathrooms. Location was great for us as between Southsea and Portsmouth. Garden was a nice bonus.

Nothing really, although the front door was a bit fiddly to open.

It’s a good value of money. The kitchen is very well equipped. The area around is beautiful and not far from the underground.

- We got an underground flat. The access was narrow and difficult, specially with big suitcases and a baby. - The check out time should be later. (9-10 am is quite early) - It has a big patio but the bathroom is very small.

Having to go from one building to another one for breakfast although it was next door think you should be told when you book what room you are having and if it is in the pub or in their other building next door if you can't do many steps the other building is up a couple of floors to get to rooms

The staff were very unhelpful, I travelled alone with two children and two dogs. One child with a disability and I found the staff were very unhelpful. At breakfast my son needed to use the toilet and was told he had to go all the way to his bedroom as the toilets were not open. I explained that I was on my own with two children and dogs and he has a disability so that is difficult and he would be unsafe to go alone. For people with mobility issues needing the bathroom this is unacceptable, we were then informed she had cleaned the men’s bathrooms therefore he was unable to go in there. Then I suggested the female toilet and told her is a male. He is 6 years old this is just unacceptable and so unhelpful and extremely not inclusive of understanding towards disability. We brought our two dogs after ringing the hotel up and being informed we could the day before our stay. I was then told on check out we should not have brought them even though I rang prior to check this out and it stating on booking.com pets are allowed. We had an incident where I needed to find a pharmacy for my son and left the dogs for 25 mins in the room and unfortunately they were barking. I apologised for this but then have been told by multiple staff about leaving the dogs being made to feel like a child being constantly told off. At no point when I explained where we had been did the staff ask if anything was ok for us to need an out of hours pharmacy. The room was lovely and it is really disappointing that i left in tears and was made to feel really unwelcome.
