Given the hotel was the Holiday Inn Express, I thought there might be less options, but there were all the normal cooked breakfast items (which staff restocked regularly) and options for vegan and gluten free on request. My room was a good size, clean and quiet - I asked for a quiet room and my request was granted. The fact that it wasn't at all noisy was great, considering Stockport railway station was right below the property! Being next to the station was excellent, because I was travelling into Manchester and beyond each day, so I could wander down whenever I was ready. The location was also great for taking in a show at the Stockport Plaza.

As with my previous Holiday Inn stay, the bed was quite firm - I would previous something softer and there could be more items and toiletries in the bathroom, like a facecloth.

The hotel was an easy walk from the airport. Pleasant staff, a quiet corridor, neat room with all the advantages mentioned in the description. The hotel served breakfast of champions! They offered a variety of food - eggs, meat, cheese, fruit, cereals, etc. We came from a European country, so a power socket adapter was needed. In theory, we should have bought it from a vending machine for £8 (which would have been a shame), but the staff just happened to have an adapter left by a guest, so they lent it to us. Nice gesture!

The room didn't have a power socket adapter.

Location is lovely, just off St Paul's square which has some nice bars and restaurants and is lovely and quiet. (midweek anyway!) it's a lovely part of the city I had the superior room which was a good size and felt cozy (they have the exposed brick features) and a good sized bathroom.

The superior room comes with a coffee machine, however mine had mould growing on the inside of the water tank rendering it unusable. I took it to reception on check out as it clearly had not been cleaned for a long period of time and could cause illness. I also reported it on WhatsApp along with a photo after checkout, they have apologised and have passed my comments to guest relations, however I think they need to ensure every room is checked for this and make cleaning the tank part of the regular cleaning routine. Unfortunately this has tainted my stay Pillows are all a bit hard and some are lumpy

Excellent location near the town centre and yet easy to get out of Lerwick quickly when we were travelling around Shetland. The house was warm and comfortable with a good bed, lots of hot water and a nice kitchen.

There were only two of us and so we thought the dining table (referred to in some reviews as rather small) would be adequate, yet we were extremely surprised to find in a house sleeping 6 people, that the only place where you could sit at a table to work or to eat was a tiny table (maybe 3 feet by 3 feet) with two stools - I felt I was at nursery school! Eating at home was therefore really uncomfortable for my back and actually spoilt my stay, as we love cooking and eating together in the evening.. No idea how a party of 6 would cope? My advice would be to get rid of the downstairs bedroom and accept that it is a house suitable for only 4 people, and reinstate a dining room downstairs, where people can eat in comfort and enjoy the experience. I would also suggest a mat inside the front door as all visitors will, like us, have walking boots and wet coats, I imagine.

Very spacious and clean room. The bed was large and comfortable too. The lovely lady on the desk when I checked in even organised me a table at the restaurant.

The room wasn’t good at all. The bathroom was disgustingly filthy. The bedroom window was a wooden window with no paint on it, condensation all the time.
