Positive section of review
Super friendly staff that welcomed us. The resort is really close to the beach, depending on which chalet you're in. Fine for somewhere to crash when you're spending your days out and about. Also, St Ives is beautiful and a great location that isn't too far from other places to visit, Lands End, Penzance, Gweek (Seal Sanctuary), Newquay were a few we did.

The chalets could do with an update and some new mattresses. They weren't the most comfortable to sleep on. Some towels and somewhere to hang wet clothes would also be great as that was a struggle. The shower is also pretty slippy, some sort of matt to step out on to would be good too. Also, there is no hand soap in the bathroom? Or hand towels? Luckily there was a Lidl nearby but not what we expected to need to grab after an 8 hour drive.

Fabulous location with views of the beach and sea. We had good weather for most of our stay and loved sitting on the balcony watching the sunsets. Lovely spacious apartment, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need. We had quite a lot of luggage and appreciated the numbered parking space and lift.

Absolutely stunning room with a kitchenette and balcony....panoramic views all around. Interiors really are so beautiful and lovely touches inside the room to ensure stay is extra special. THE comfiest bed I have ever slept in my entire life. The guy who greeted me was super lovely and helpful.

We were given quiet rooms overlooking the river as requested. Unfortunately not ground floor but lifts were working. Able to bring pet.

I made the hotel aware at booking that there was a pet but was unaware until I received an ‘upgrade’ email that there was a charge of £20. This is disproportionate when compared with £75 for the room and should be explicit at the stage the booking is made. Breakfast was too expensive especially the Continental at £14.50. Air conditioning in one of the rooms wasn’t working and was uncomfortably warm. My main issue was with the parking. First come first served but if you leave to eat out you lose your space. You will be charged until someone else takes your space then you will get a refund. Alternatively there is another car park over the river. Special rates apply if you find, and understand the complicated sigh on the hotel external wall. It isn’t even written in good English. It was so complicated that staff didn’t understand and had to have the manager explain it.

Despite asking twice for facial tissues, never got any. Coffee station at breakfast not great if you just like black coffee, and in the room only instant coffee was available. Thought the shampoo and soap not of the quality I expected for this type of hotel.
