  This is an amazing place to stay in the centre of Newmarket. The room was large and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was also exceptionally large and well equipped. Decor and lighting perfect. The walk to the breakfast room was like walking through a museum/art gallery. Superb breakfast and wonderful staff. I will definitely stay here again.

  Huge room with a massive, comfortable bed. The breakfasts were fabulous, with loads of options (Full Scottish, Veggie, Smoked Kippers etc). All cooked beautifully to order. The hosts were very helpful. On our last day we had to leave very early to catch a ferry, and she made sandwiches for us to take with us, instead of breakfast.

  Lovely apartment, very clear and modern, particularly a fan of the window shutters! Only downside is that the flat is up a couple of flights of stairs without a lift, but no bother!

  Loved the staff. So helpful. Food and bar staff al fabulous.

  Management(owners with directors of the pub chain) coming in, having a meal and appeared to arrogantly ( even if in jest- passive aggressive) berate their staff about various things. There is a time and place for this and its not so obviously in front of paying customers. Felt sorry for the staff as it looked a bit embarassing for them. Do better as the pub, food and staff are outstanding and they deserved better. Ruined our wedding anniversary trip to be seeing it.
