  Was going a funeral so decided to stay night before because needed to be early next day Took 2 hours from my home then i drove round town centre over 2 hours trying to find the hotel car park.diversions and road closed everywhere and the postcode for free parking is not the same as the hotel which they didnt tell me .Decided to find any car park and pay for 24 hours .Got a very cold welcome at reception, which made me feel uncomfortable. Got changed went and met family came back door was bolted kind cleaner let me in first smile I had .next morning waited an hour for a cup off tea and full english which looked lovely sadly it was freezing cold

  exceptional hotel, even better restaurant. The steak is literally the best i have ever eaten - Room was clean, spacious and well presented. Nice and quiet. loved it!

  There were no staff to be seen when we wanted to check out and after waiting at the desk for 15 mins we just left the key on the desk. Could do with some clearer instructions about checking out if there aren't going to be staff around.

  Road facing rooms are noisy. Carpet threadbare in places, curtains not hung properly, not enough plug sockets. Breakfast is very poor. It’s not a continental breakfast when you just get to collect a small box with cornflakes, UHT milk, a pain chocolat, a flapjack and an apple juice. Not value for money.
