The property was spacious, well equipped, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hosts left generous amounts of teabags, sugar, biscuits and a bottle of wine. There was even washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and paper towel which is often not available. The location was ideal. Quiet but virtually next to a beach and only 10-15 min walk from dreamland/margate town centre. Check in/out was smooth and the security deposit refunded promptly.

The central heating was difficult to figure out so we gave up. I’m sure the hosts would have helped if we asked but it was May so figured we’d survive without it! Also a non-stick saucepan in the kitchen and big frying pan would have been useful. But these were both minor things that did not particularly impact our stay.

A good base for our stay in Worcester. Nice quiet area. Space to park car off road. There was heating in the main room and bathroom, comfy sofas, the bed was OK - not awful, but have slept in more comfortable beds. Good Storage for our clothes. The owners provided plenty of bathroom toiletries, basic kitchen utensils plus snacks and a bottle of milk in the fridge.

The kitchenette was very small - only suitable for making a cuppa. We used the toaster once which set the smoke alarm off even though the toast wasn’t even toasted (warm bread). It would have been nice to have a better area to cook a basic meal, but OK if you were to just stay a few nights, and plan to eat out the whole time.

Everything. The setting is beautiful. The cottage is interesting and finished to an extremely high level. We enjoyed arriving and looking round. Great welcome pack. Local pub with incredible views and great food a few minutes walk away and lots of countryside walking to be done straight from your door.

The Staff was friendly, the bar/conservatory was quite nice to sit in and you could actually access a reasonable wifi signal here.

The wifi is terrible, when you can get a signal no data passes. The mobile network signal is also weak due to the building. The beds were hard, felt like a mattress topper on a bench. Was placed with window on to bin area, which was fine till they emptied the bar bins at 23:36 waking me for several hours due to the noise of the glass bottles crashing against each other. There was no extractor in the bathroom so remained humid or odourful after use. No attempt to isolate sound from downpipe so showers/toilet flushes etc from above clearly heard. Didn't attempt to use TV as it said switch to analogue, so assumed lack of channels as must be doing something within hotel to provide it. Room could have done with paint job, some dents in wall filling.

Food could be fresher, a bit more choice added, more veggies and fruits. Also, was a bit surprised with the parking fee, as there was nothing about it in the advert and a hotel at this price and so prestigious as Mercury is, should offer parking - free of charge.
