Very good location, near to train station, tram and bus stops, just off the main Princes Street, shops and major sights and garden. Apartment is clean and has all amenities that we need. Quick responses to queries. Excellent choice to stay for trip to Edinburgh.

Really great location, with fantastic views…. Felt like you weee out in the middle of the fells, but it was a short and easy walk across a couple of fields to the town. Proprietors were very friendly and chatty, check in and out was easy. Breakfast superb!

I would have liked a bath to soak my weary legs after walking…… but that is a mi or detail. There was plenty of hot water for a shower instead.

We stayed in the 12-bed dorm (there was a group of 12 of us) and it was absolutely tiny. Barely enough floor space to manoeuvre past people, and only two small corners and a cage to leave bags. Most of the lights didn’t work in the room so it was very dark. It also got extremely hot during the night even with a fan on and windows open. Showers were great but only two sinks in the entire hostel.

Advertised as having WIFI but did not have any. They just kept telling us to reset it which we did sooo many times but found out the WIFI data hadn’t been paid for. Ariel on TV did not work. By the time this was realised we were 2 weeks into our stay. Had to buy our own SIM to get both. Had a problem with the boiler, had to reset that. Four of us staying a month - had 3 dinner plates, 3 forks, 3 bowls, 2 teaspoons. No tea towels. No vacuum, no broom. Had to borrow a vacuum off of family and bought the necessary things needed for the kitchen. Had one door key between four of us. Got the message/email of key code (to access door key) whilst on plane so didn’t know about it. Arrived at 1am (because of delays) didn’t get into apartment until 5am. Was ringing the Emergency number on door who put us in touch I gather with Sergio, they didn’t even know the Brentwood apartment existed- they only had one on their books in Romford. Only got in with the help from Sergio in Dubai (call centre) thank god for him, he was exceptionally helpful and went over and above for us. Also it is very noisy early mornings with Sainsbury deliveries - large trucks.
