The room is amazingly comfortable, with a small fridge containing fresh milk. The beds were very comfortable indeed and every, shower was excellent and everything was spotlessly clean. The owner is doing a superb job of upgrading her accommodation.

The host was extremely helpful with check-in, sending a video with information about how to get into the building (which was quite complicated). It was spotlessly clean. The apartment has a bath and a kitchenette for for self-catering.

The facilities were extremely basic, especially in the bedroom where the only furnishing was a cheap plastic-wrapped divan bed, no chair, bedside table, drawers, wardrobe, or storage for clothing - just a bare box with only two pillows for comfort, no cushions. The blinds were fake and didn't open so there was no option of natural light. There was no bin in the kitchen or bathroom, the only bin in the property was behind the living room door. There were no tea towels in the kitchen which made washing up a bit of a challenge, and only one bath towel and one hand towel were provided for the bathroom. The sofa was too small for two people to sit side by side. The dining chairs wobbled. Externally the location is very urban, a gated building on a main road with heavy traffic, and there are two door codes needed to get into the building, one on the outside gate and one on the main door (which is a different door to the main reception). It's not an easy place to find, and there's nowhere straight forward for taxis to collect or drop off.

The location was convenient for our need and we were able to park in what had once been the front garden, right by the entrance. The mattress was comfortable and we slept well. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

The place is depressing and grubby, although the bedding was clean. The curtains were hanging off and the walls and skirting were dirty. The carpet behind the door was not vacuumed. Nowhere to put anything down in the shower room. Not even a toilet roll holder and the rolls were stacked on the floor. The bathmat was frayed. No towel rail and the towels were on clothes hangers hanging on the top of the door. This is not a hotel by any reasonable standard, just a rented room and worth about half what we paid for it.

Rustic croft which was quite comfortable. Deep sofa good for curling up on. Washing machine and tumble dryer were handy and shut away to keep their noise down. Massive fridge freezer.

Guests cannot control the heating as it's on a locked timer setting controlled by the owners. We had a bit of a chilly evening after the heating went off, and were also unable to properly dry laundry that couldn't go in the tumble dryer. Kitchen countertop prep space is very limited and there's no extractor fan. Shower extremely stiff to turn on to the point we thought it was broken (doesn't match up with the beautiful modern bathtub next to it!). Also not an essential but we would have preferred a dishwasher.

Wish we booked longer beaches just 10 mins drive West Kirkby , New Brighton, lovely parks & walking places, all shops minutes away great Chinese and great host , Maria was so friendly and helpful , on hand if you need any help. Cant wait to book next visit we Will be back soon

The bed wasn't overly comfortable. I could feel where they joined when I moved during the night. Despite putting the temperature up in the room I felt it was still cold. The bath took ages to run and by the time it had despite the water being as warm as possible it was still lukewarm. The fruit was off in the fruit bowl at breakfast had to ask for a banana as the one I had lifted was split and leaking mush. I had a yogurt and it wasn't cool either. Felt like it had been sitting out too long.
