The breakfast was plentiful, and when the hosts found out that we had to leave shortly after it opened they said they would open earlier for us! good choice of cereals, juices, toast and pastries

Location was acceptable,, easy to get into Bristol with the bus, host was friendly and we were able to check in at 14:00 hrs. Parking is available at no extra charge.

I inquired about the room as the images on Booking.com had no compatabilities, host said "it was correct". If correct why were the images completely different. DIY Breakfast no fresh coffee, everything Tesco prepacked, and various cereals. Service was not available, the frequently used road directly in front ot The OLd Star was extreemly noisy and we had next to no sleep. Value for money was very diappointing 2 Nights for almost 200 Pound Sterling with DIY Breakfast outrageous, clothes cupboard smells. How Booking. com reviews 8,8 have been achieved is quite amazing. A very disappointing experience would not book again. We would have been better booking with Holiday Inn Express, or another well known Hotel chain for accomodation.

The food was pricey although very good. The central heating did not come on. The underfloor heating in the bathroom only came on at 3.30 am! Most people are asleep then. Staying in the cottages away from the main building during torrential rain is not ideal. It made it difficult to get to the restaurant for meals.
