Room was lovely and so was the view. It wasn't very clean in all areas. The bedding and towels were clean but the carpets in the bedroom were very stained. The carpets in the hole building needed a good clean. Our room needed a good clean behind the beds and bedside cabinets. They were full of dust - noticed when looking for power point to plug in my phone. All very dated and the whole hotel needs some TLC Fantastic old building - could be amazing if cared for and updated. Great views. Comfortable bar and restaurant and great food. We used the bars most evening save driving and lovely views. The staff were amazing - full marks to this young team - excellent customer service

The staff were very friendly and attentive. When we checked in after dinner service was over, the kitchen very Kindly went out of their way to provide us with a 3 course dinner. This was hugely appreciated after a very log day walking in the mountains.

The only thing that I didn't like was the shower pressure, but as this is a remote hotel with a private water supply there is nothing much that can be done about that!

We had our evening meal of haddock and chips which whilst a little overpriced was very nice indeed, the mushy peas we ordered were the tastiest I have had in a very long time. The bed was clean, enormous and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep.

The hotel room was tired and needs attention. The cleaning needs to be addressed as there was dust in many places like the fan and the bedside lights, and you could write your name in the dust on the small stool under the table. There was an empty snack wrapper behind one of the bedside tables which obviously had not been cleaned behind. The windows had minimal double glazing with loose fittings and peeling outside frames. On a more serious matter my bedside lamp did not work and the fitting wobbled about and was potentially a danger. Having said all that it was good value just needs more attention to detail and a considerable increase in maintenance.

Spacious room. The place was well connected by bus and tram. Comfortable check-in, I received an email in advance which was helpful.

The staff did not cleaning the room. It was never cleaned during our stay, when we asked them to clean, they replied that they don’t clean rooms. TV was also not working properly, it got froze while changing channels. It had wi Fi connection issues.

Had to change key card to get into the room 3 times because it wasn’t working very frustrating when you want to get into the room we were 3 floors up and lift wasn’t always available.had to ask for top ups for the tea coffee and milk .we also needed fresh clean towels which I had to help myself because no one about ‘breakfast was excellent has it was last time we came ‘ roast dinner was disappointing on the Sunday.
