Lovely staff, very helpful and very friendly. Good amount of Parking available and great location, 15 min walk from a supermarket and restaurants, and a 10 minute walk from the train/tube station which was a 40 min direct route to Central london. Comfy room and spacious, with a good bathroom/shower. Bed was also comfortable with additional pillows provided.

Only a couple plug sockets and not near the bed, so an extension cable ir a long charging cable is a must if you want your phone by the bed. A little noise pollution from the road but not enough to ruin your sleep. No ceiling lights, but the lamp and beside lamps were pretty bright.

The breakfast was superb with plenty of variety to cover all tastes.the room was clean and tidy and the bedding was very clean. The hotel was well situated for the local amenities Metrocentre,Newcastle city centre, the coast and much more.

Helpful, friendly staff. Always greeted with a smile and a bit of chat about our day etc. Went out of their way to help with ptoblems. Convenient being right on A12; convenient for places we wanted to visit.

Niggly things…. Bed and washbasin much too high. Towels, tea bags, tissues not replaced adequately. No white sugar in room. No cider in bar.. breakfast bacon “cardboard”, cold plates, no space for plates when dishing up.

The location and amenities were great. As were the staff. We had an issues at the start but the staff were quick to sort it and move us to another room.

That breakfast was in another building, we had to walk down the street for about 100 meters, we found this very inconvenient. If the breakfast is not included or if we had booked it only upon arrival it would have been understandable. But for reservations where breakfast is included the guest should be accommodated in the same building.
