  the owners gave us no access to the property and were non contactable. we spent an hour on the phone to booking.com and had to she'll out money to book a hotel last minute. stressful and not ideal as I'm now struggling to contact customer service to get my refund.

  The location was ideal - being close to the ferry terminal.

  I understand the cost of logisitics apllicable to operating an on-island hotel and to a degree, the room rate has to reflect that but the rate was far too high for a single night in a single room. I travel throughout the UK and am therefore exposed to increases throughout but this room-rate just feels like the hotel is trading on the limited accommodation available and location.

  Unfortunately, I had to ask to be collected from this venue as my room was right next to their outdoor entertainment area and the music was too loud to be able to remain in the room. I had been assured it would be turned off by midnight but this was far too late for my needs. The staff were very understanding but said they could not offer a refund because I had booked via Booking.com and not directly with the hotel, I am still waiting to hear from Booking.com as to whether they will offer a full refund.
