The hosts were wonderful. They were friendly and helpful with tips on history, touring, and places to eat. It was a family affair, including two very loving dogs. The rooms were beautifully decorated and stocked with coffee and refreshments. The beds were comfortable. A beautiful place to stay in Inverness and the host family completes the experience.

We didn't stay longer.

Exellent location - close to The Tower Bridge and only a 20 min. walk from Liverpool Street station. Nice old house. Very nice clean bedding, good warm blanket. Small table and two chairs in the room.

The tight front door had no handle - very hard to open from the inside. The place needed fresh paint and some repair. The shower was a bit mouldy and the whole place smelled musty.

The room was clean, though very tired, in particular the bathroom which whilst clean was very old in design. The staff were polite enough, if a little defeated and going through the motions.

The building looks good from the outside, but inside the entire downstairs of the pub and restaurant area had an overpowering smell of urinal deodorizer blocks. The back corridors up to the guest rooms were very basic and tired. From the bedroom on the second floor, the sound from the traffic on the road below was prominent. The 'parking' garage behind the hotel is not fit for purpose. This is more of a 'room above a pub' experience, rather than 'hotel'. We decided to check out after a couple of hours, rather than stay overnight as we knew we wouldn't get a good night's sleep and the breakfast with the smell of the urinal blocks wouldn't have been a good combination.

Heavy doors, broken lock on the bathroom door and had to hunt for the kettle, nothing to say it's in the cupboard.

The reception and bar area were very nice

The room was clean but very tired.we were awoken around midnight by screams, banging fighting by the neighbours. When alerted security came quickly but seemed powerless to do anything about it and so the arguments went on until the early hours. Also being on the front of the building there was a constant stream of police and ambulances that we could hear as if the windows were open.

Beautiful location. Lovely property.

There was an issue with our dinner reservation. Also during the meal the staff were not great, that’s the second time I have experienced this here. They are way understaffed and it’s a shame as I would not book again. It has put me off. We were also not informed the pool would be closed in the morning.
