This is a gem. If you want a taste of the countryside you want to come here. Hosts are amazing, they left us a stocked fridge and fresh eggs. The view is stunning, it's quiet and relaxed. Worth every penny.

A quiet hotel in a peaceful area. Approximately 30 minutes from Manchester city centre. Public transportation passes in front of the hotel.

Location was great, most of the staff very friendly, Jenny was exceptional, couldn't do enough for us.

Room was quite cold during the day and at night in the bar/restaurant. Tried to alter it in the bedroom but didn't work, probably on a time switch. Staff did turn it on in the restaurant when asked. No problem with anything else.

There was no staff available until 8am which I think is too late for a hotel. We were told that we could exit and re-enter the hotel via a back door with a key provided. The key didn't work!

Very basic room. Power sockets not well thought out. Step between bedroom and bathroom which could cause a trip hazard. Guest information unavailable in the rooms. I missed breakfast on the second day as I assumed the timings would be the same as the day before. They weren't, and it turns out they were communicated upon arrival along with a plethora of other information, so unsurprisingly I did not remember. An A4 sheet with relevant information in the room would resolve this.
