My wife and I were looking for a couple of nights away from the body lives we both have. Jules and Ray's property was a fantastic find, always at the end of the phone if we needed to ask a question, the property is situated opposite the beach, town centre one end and Bowleze cove the other.

I went on many a camps here when it was a training camp. This has changed so much. Comfort is 100 times better from the army bead and pit belly stove for heating. Great to reminisce, peaceful and quiet. No complaints

I like the location, few minutes walk to the train station. It's nice that the swimming pool is not too busy, the restaurant serves good food. The staff are all nice.

Only slight downside was no food or drink available after 5pm. Having said that we would definitely stay here again and bring supplies with us for late night snacks and drinks!

Beds creaked like crazy and felt like they were going to collapse at any moment. Desk and bed configuration bizarre, had to shimmy in between few CMs between the bed and desk. Could’ve done with a more thorough clean.

No heating of hot running water, also no Wi-Fi….bit of a problem, also states parking available….car park over the road costs around £30 per 24 hours..ridiculous, managed to find one for £10 per day that has approx half a mile away…still not good tbh…Sunday night/ Bank Hol Monday noise levels very very loud until after 2 am…so much for a relaxing break, expected it to be a little louder than normal b&bs as it’s over a bar, but nothing stated about been open til the early hours…also a few issues with noise when running cold tap and flushing toilet, faulty kettle constantly cutting out, having to hold down in order to get it to work.

Staff did not provide any sort of service and my needs, wants and expectations were simply not met. Staff did not even ask how my stay was when checking out.Lack of sleep due to room location in hotel above staff smoking area for staff, so could not have window open due to smoke rising from cigarette breaks by staff. Food delivery at 2.30am so had to listen to lorry reversing and people talking and the cages being removed from the lorry. Also bins collected at 5.30am, so comfort and sleep non existent. Did not like that I had to pay for parking when this was not made clear on booking.com and then the staff on check in tried to argue this point with me. Not made to feel valued in any way.
