Being a Peruvian visitor and being able to go 10 days to Liverpool without completely knowing their language and going for the first time to England was something completely new, but quickly all my doubts and fears were answered 100% by Tim and all the volunteers of The Liverpool Pod hostel, special mention for the volunteer Andrea who helped me at all times when my cell phone broke down and we were able to repair it in time. It is true that the location is in Everton's blue zone, but I recommend all Liverpool FC fans worldwide to go to the Pod, they will feel at home, so I will come back every time I have to visit the city of Liverpool. Unforgettable experience! YNWA

We arrived after dreadful journey from Gatwick station which was so confusing to get the bus. It was a smooth check-in and the staff member was very nice and even better as we had been chosen as quest of the day which included a upgrade and a compliment drink from the bar.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money with a good breakfast in the morning. Met some great locals too and had plenty of laughs over several pints.

The beds were comfortable and the lounge was passable for the price range. This is all the positiviity which I can muster.

The cleanliness was sub par. The bathroom sink wasn't stable. There was what looked like mould on the showerhead and the bars to the bathroom and bedroom windows appeared to have never been cleaned. Theres a significant issue with birds nesting near the bedroom windows. I love nature, but you would need to love it to the point where and of wanting to be woken up at every couple of hours e.g. 2am and 4am with the screaching of the birds, as well as having this happen all day long. Given the presence of seagulls in the area, you can imagine how unpleasant this noise is. I would not stay here again.
