The flat was lovely and clean. It had all the facilities we needed for our short stay. The beds were extremely comfortable - probably the most comfortable of the beds we've ever stayed in a booking.com property.

(1) Despite the photo on the website suggesting car parking available outside the property, we didn't realise until we got there that those spaces are for other residents of the flats in the building. We had to park almost a quarter of mile down the densely packed residential street and spend an hour lugging our stuff up to the flat (and I'm disabled!) (2) Upon our arrival at the flat, the couple living in the other flat on the same floor were having a full blown row that went on noisily for over an hour. (3) One of the residents in the said flat was smoking cannabis almost the whole time we were there, so the stairwell reeked of cannabis that also came into our flat. (4) The night we arrived the weather was very cold, and the flat was freezing. We'd arrived very late at the flat and by the time we'd unloaded the car - walking the massive distance from the car to the flat, and we'd walked the dog we'd brought with us on a 5 hour drive to get there - it was almost midnight, so we didn't think it appropriate to ask the owner how to get the central heating to work. There were no instructions on how to operate the thermostat which we twiddled repeatedly in an effort to get some heat into the chilly flat. I texted the owner, and we got a response at 8am in the morning, after which we finally got the boiler to fire up and give us some hot water and heat the radiators. (5) There was an issue with the tv, with many of the channels pixelating and being unwatchable. (5) We managed to get the car closer to the flat when loading it to leave after our 2 night stay. My sister left the front door off the latch as she took stuff down the narrow stairs to the car, and the woman who lived in the rear basement flat come out of her front door and rudely screeched at her for leaving the door on the latch whilst we packed the car.

A beautifully appointed modern comfortable apartment complete with all facilities, including a washing machine, and close enough to walk into the city. Parking was close and easy in the apartment block.

The room was quite large and bed comfortable. The breakfast was good.

The place needs renovating. The window frames in our room were in a sorry state and all needed replacing. They were not double glazed and the property is on a main road so there was some traffic noise. The bathroom was on the small side, especially the shower cubicle. The room was a little on the darkside.
