The property was very comfortable , very fully-equipped and beautifully clean.

Some j- cloths or similar would be helpful as trying to wipe surfaces with a pan scourer is not very successful. Alas we were also defeated by the TV even though we followed the instructions to the letter. Fortunately we weren't that bothered but can imagine it could be a problem for other people.

Unfortunately there were some negatives: 1. We found the staff lacked warmth and welcome. Our first 5 staff interactions on the first night were ‘someone will be with you in a minute or two’ as they walked by. 2. We asked for a second set of towels for the room when we went down to dinner but were told we should really go back up and double check they were missing before they would agree! 3. The evening menu given to us on check-in was completely different to the one presented in the restaurant. Disappointing as we had made our selections based on the 1st, which had some lovely home cooked comforting options on it, just right for weary travellers. So we opted to go to the Indian restaurant across the road, which was good on food and service. Sorry guys, this was not the best start to our stay.

Due to a recent interior redecoration we personally found the smell of gloss paint overbearing for us, enough to cut our stay short, no refund as I had failed to report our early departure. I know we will not be staying here again
