WOW. What a fabulous place. The photo's don't do the house justice. Plenty of room, great facilities, beautiful setting. Our only concern was banging our heads on one of the bedroom door frames as it was low. (I'm 5'9" and hit my head three times.) Kitchen was a good size, lovely bathroom, nice towels. TV a bit slow to respond but hey we were on holiday and only watched it late in the evenings anyway. Hosts had kindly supplied some groceries (milk/eggs/Welsh cakes/bread/tea). Will definitely be looking to book here again.

The beds were comfy and the room I was in was fairly standard. The price was really good for near enough the city centre and it was right next to the Botanical gardens. There was a living room with a TV and Netflix although I didn't get a chance to test it out. The code to the door changed every day so the security was very tight and secure. The staff communicated this change to me as I left early in the morning on Day 2 just to make sure I had it which was very reaassuring.

The toilet situation was a bit uncomfortable. There were 2 toilets and 3 showers for each set of 4 rooms (which I can only guess had a minimum of 16 people in them if not more) and these are mixed gender. Which means when it's busy the loos are a bit of a hardship. Not to mention they really weren't very clean so I avoided using them where I could. It also says about stocking up toilet roll and wiping the seats after use yet it wasn't obvious where these could be found and the staff were not always available to ask. There are lockers in the rooms however you need to supply your own lock. This wasn't advertised and although they have a sign offering a lock for £1.50 actually on the lockers, the staff member told me they didn't actually have any and I had to go out and buy a set (for reference anyone needing one there is a convenience store about 5 mins walk away selling them for about £6). There were no individual light switches on the beds so the one light switch in the room had to suit everybody whether it was on or off. In summer this isn't too bad as it's light enough to still move around even when it's late evening but I can't imagine the issues it causes in winter.

The rooms are spacious and mostly clean apart, lovely balcony to relax in the evenings. Easy to check in with codes sent for main and room door on day of arrival. Communication with host was easy

Beautiful stay - scenery was amazing and the whole experience was very relaxing. The facilities at the lodge were great and the food at the hotel restaurant was exceptional. Would recommend!

Travel arrangements to the lodges were slightly tricky without a car. We had to book a taxi from Glencoe as there were no obvious bus route/times and although there was a bus stop outside the hotel, the staff did not seem to know the bus timetable and there was no information available. Fortunately we managed to catch a bus to fort William in the morning after checking out
