Staff pleasant. The bed was comfortable, sheets were clean. Towels were fine. Small 'fridge in room which was a positive aspect of another wise not very lovely accommodation. Bottle of water, hopefully from kitchen tap, for making tea in room. Despite the accommodation being a long way from 'good' the building is historically interesting and one can imagine an injection of cash, and the resurrection of the licence, would go a long way to injecting life in to the place. Add an excellent chef and it could become a delightful place to stay and enjoy great food.

Just about everything. Room had mould on ceiling and wall. Lighting extremely dingy making it difficult to apply makeup. Shower not great, two small holes in shower head which jetted water in all kinds of directions. Coffee was dire, it tasted instant. Breakfast sausages could have done with improvement. Whilst I accept that it wasn't the most expensive accommodation three of us paid £384 for two rooms for two nights which works out at £128 each. I would rather have paid more and enjoyed the experience. In future, if we are not staying with family, I will book somewhere further afield and arrange a taxi should we be having wine with dinner.

The staff were helpful and the room was comfortable for a stay. It was useful having access to the fridge and microwave as travelling alone for work, it was more pleasant to eat in my room while working.

My only comment is that the name on the signs outside are different from the name on here, which did lead to some confusion in my finding the hotel.

Food wise the burgers are excellent but I wouldn’t recommend the poke bowls - no sauce and very dry. There wasn’t any bottle water in the room.

The food menu is currently restricted to the bar / lounge area and recommend consideration to include more snack type food (nachos or light bites) for travellers who just want some nibbles with refreshing drink.
